Where we started
We didn’t start with a shop full of tools. We started with one laser, at home, on a weekend.
The first thing we learned wasn’t how to cut. It was how hard it is to find a file that looks the way you pictured it and actually runs. So we fixed other people’s files. Then we started making our own, which meant learning a stack of design tools we never wanted to learn.
Then we bought a second laser, and it all repeated. Then a wood CNC router. Same again. Recently a UV printer, and, you guessed it, the same climb one more time. Every new machine made it harder to stand up and run, not easier.
That’s where MakersGenie comes from.
What we believe
Your time should go into the piece on the bench, not the file on the screen. A maker with a good idea shouldn’t need a second career in design software to see it finished.
What we’re building
A place where you say what you want to make, pick a look, and get files made for the machine you have. You see the designs before you spend anything on a download, and you never open a design program in between.
We’re building it one piece at a time and only claiming what works. If something isn’t ready, we’ll say so.

What we’ll always do
Keep your designs and uploads private to you. Deliver digital files, nothing else. Never require design software. And listen: every file that didn’t work teaches us what to fix next.
