What does MakersGenie do?
You tell us what you’d like to make, or show us a sketch or photo. We draw it and hand you files your machine can run.
Will it work with my machine?
Yes, if it’s a diode, CO2, fiber or UV laser, a desktop UV printer, a craft cutter, or a wood CNC router (beta). Pick your machine and the files are made to fit it. Not sure which one? Pick “Not sure yet” and we’ll make files any of them can use.
Do I need to know design software?
Nope. Plain words are enough. If you like to fine-tune, the extra settings are a tap away.
What files do I get?
The ones your machine expects, such as SVG, DXF or PNG, with layers where they matter. You’ll see how the finished piece looks before you download.
How do credits work?
You start with 6 free credits. Previews are free; you spend credits only when you download files: 1 for words or photo designs, 2 for AI designs from your idea, 3 for AI designs from your photo or a premium finish. The same design for another machine is free. Packs last 12 months and plan credits roll over. The Pricing page has the details.
Can I sell what I make?
Maker and Pro Seller plans include a commercial license for the physical things you make. Free and Hobby are for personal use. Selling or sharing the files themselves isn’t allowed on any plan.
Are my designs private?
Yes. Your ideas, uploads and files are yours alone to see.
Do you ship anything?
No, everything is a digital download. You make the piece on your own machine, which is the fun part.
